Care Manager, Elmfield Way

Are you brilliant at working with people with learning disabilities? Do you already possess good management skills and are looking for a new challenge?

Yarrow is looking for a registered manager who has a passion for person-centred approaches and positive behavioural support. This would include a broad knowledge of Person Centred Active Support and Positive Behavioural Support. PROACT SCIPr UK® knowledge is desirable, but not essential, as full training would be given.

Elmfield Way is a specialist service for four people with autism and behaviours which sometimes challenge. The post-holder would be required to lead a team of support workers to achieve outcomes for those they support within their daily lives.

Elmfield Way also has two people who are supported to live in their own homes within supported living environments. Elmfield Way has a team of two deputy managers and 19 support workers. The two supported living services have a compliment of seven support workers.

As the registered care manager, you will need to be committed to enhancing the lives of those you support within our specialist services. At Yarrow, we deeply care about those we support through creating caring environments and building trustworthy relationships with people to allow them to build confidence when accessing existing and new activities.

The post-holder will need to be creative and work co-productively with internal & external partners to promote service development with the team.  This would include creating homely environments including any adaptations as well as maintaining health and well-being of the people we support.

The registered managers will need to be IT literate and have the ability to manage budgets, prepare and send reports both internally and externally in written and presentation form on a regular basis.
